About Singer XXX files

XXX is the format of Singer embroidery machines such as the Futura series, and of the Compucon software they were developed with.

XXX stores thread colors and trims, so your color order carries over to the machine.

Long moves are split automatically to stay within the format's limits.

Tips

Getting a XXX file onto your machine

  • Copy the .xxx file to a USB stick formatted as FAT32, or use your machine's transfer app or cable.
  • Keep file names short and simple; some machines only show the first few characters.
  • Check the design size against your largest hoop before you transfer it.
  • Thread colors in the file are suggestions: match them to the threads you actually have.
