What is trim in embroidery?

A command that makes the machine cut the threads before moving to a new area, so no loose jump threads are left behind.

Trim, explained

Each trim takes a few seconds and needs lock stitches on either side, so fewer trims mean a faster, cleaner sew. Formats code trims differently; in DST, for example, a trim is a short sequence of jumps that the machine reads as a cut. Embrizo plans the sewing order to cut down trims and writes them the way each format expects.
